I also used Inkscape and tried to keep the layout and design as close as possible to Whiteberry's maps. This is my first guide on steam and the maps are clearly still a work in progress but I believe they are complete enough to share with the community. The cardinal directions (compass rose) are defined by the sun in the corresponding region.

PLEASE NOTE: The orientation of the maps is based on in-game coordinates. I now know how much work and effort it is to create them. By now I have added a few other maps for the regions Whiteberry never provided any maps.

And boy I can tell you it really takes some time, quite some wolf struggles, blood loss, sprained wrists and ankles, hypothermia and frostbite to get it finished in an acceptable way. So I sent my long run stalker survivor (300+ days) out on a mission to map the latest region, Hushed River Valley. We all became great fans of those maps and I always wondered how much effort was actually involved to create those. Many players relied on those beautifully created maps and we all fell in love with them, just as I did. The maps created by Whiteberry were extremely helpful for everyone who started playing The Long Dark.
